Partner & Co-Founder

Joe Harding is a Partner and Co-Founder of Northwood SHP, LLC, where he oversees the firm's daily operations. His responsibilities include acquisitions, asset management, business operations, and capital raising.

Prior to co-founding Northwood SHP, Joe worked at Prologis in Los Angeles with a focus on Southern California acquisitions, M&A / Multi-Market acquisitions, and West Coast dispositions. Prologis is the world's largest owner of industrial real estate with over 1 billion square feet of assets worldwide. During his tenure, he was involved in transactions exceeding $26 billion in value and played a key role in the landmark acquisition of Duke Realty in 2022. Prior to Prologis, Joe worked on the Industrial team at Eastdil Secured in Los Angeles. Joe earned his bachelor's degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.

Conrad Slater is a Partner and Co-Founder of Northwood SHP, LLC, where he oversees the firm's daily operations. His responsibilities include acquisitions, asset management, business operations, and capital raising.

Prior to co-founding Northwood SHP, Conrad was a Vice President at Northwood Investors LLC in Los Angeles where he was responsible for evaluating debt and equity investments for all property types. Immediately prior to Northwood SHP, Conrad led Northwood's industrial acquisition efforts across the country. During his tenure at Northwood, he was involved in transactions totaling $2.0 billion in value. Prior to Northwood, Conrad worked for J.P. Morgan Real Estate Americas in New York City, focused on acquisitions and asset management. Conrad earned his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.

Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of U.S. Acquisitions for Northwood Investors

Brady A. Thurman serves as the Co-Head of U.S. Acquisitions. Mr. Thurman joined Northwood in 2007 and relocated to Los Angeles in 2011 to open the firm’s west coast office. Mr. Thurman built Northwood’s presence on the west coast and oversaw construction of the firm’s west coast portfolio.

Throughout his career at Northwood, Mr. Thurman has been involved in approximately $8 billion of real estate transactions. As Co-Head of U.S. Acquisitions, Mr. Thurman is responsible for overseeing the team in sourcing and executing new investments. Additionally, Mr. Thurman manages Northwood’s core-plus separate account focused on U.S. retail and office opportunities.

Prior to joining Northwood Investors, Mr. Thurman launched his career at Deutsche Bank, working in the RREEF Opportunity Funds group, where he was responsible for underwriting and executing real estate investment opportunities throughout the United States. He focused primarily on the development and acquisition of residential, office, and hospitality properties. Mr. Thurman received a B.S., magna cum laude, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
